Settings disappears & Network & Action Center show blank blue popups.

Settings disappears & clicking on the system tray Network & Action Center icons show blank blue popups at least 10 tiimes per day!

I have tried several PowerShell command lines to restore these apps but with very little success.

    Any ideas please??

Hi, did this suddenly start to happen, and was this recently?
Were you running 20H1 succesfully prior to this?

Do you have a suitable System Restore point you could use, assuming this started to happen recently?

Does this happen if you create a new user and log in as that user?

If so, consider an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data.

    Thanks for replying dalchina .

I was running the previous 20H build before this one and the problem started with that build.

When I did the upgrade to this version I figured that was the same as an in-place upgrade repair install and would fix it but it didn't.

I can do an in-place upgrade repair install of this version if you think it is necessary.

One of the PowerShell command lines I have in a text file is supposed to be for reintstalling Settings but a soon as immersivecontolpanel comes up it freezes and wont continue!

    Any other ideas please?

Well I haven't done that yet. If I do and there aren't any problems what does that mean for me and my user profile please?

You have stated that upgrading hasn't helped, so an in-place upgrade repair wouldn't seem relevant.

It is therefore necessary to determing whether this is general Windows corruption or something specific to your user profile. Without knowing that all else is guesswork, as my crystal ball is currently down for scheduled maintenance.

Well Windows Update just upgraded my laptop to Build 19587 and everything I mentioned IS working again.

Thanks for all of your efforts anyway. I have no idea what the problem was either!!
