Clutter on the left repeated drives and repeated usb that are not used

Everytime I want to save a file I have to wade through what feels like a 10 mile of crap just to jet to my favorites or to a hard drive. A new computer shows just a little bit but in time I have duplicates of disks. When I plug in a USB drive its a 5 minutes journey if I am going to find it on the left side. Is there a way to control what shows up on the left side of explorer. bn ?

That is not clutter.

Those items in File Explorer are generally just shortcuts to actual folders located in C:\Users\USER-NAME-HERE, some can be deleted or the groups of Quick Access and Libraries can be hidden/removed. I'd not remove anything below This PC "just in case".

If you like, you could pin the drives to Quick access to make it easier and faster to access them from there.

When I computer is freshly installed its nice on the left side of explorer but in time it turns into a big mess. Often it shows duplicates of drives but also it is showing stuff there more and more and it becomes really messy and stressful.

Nothing gets added to the left Side unless you start expanding folders. Quick Links you can disable. Follow the tutorial.
