Where is the data stored for the new Clipboard?

I have been trying for a while now to locate where these items are being stored with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know about the new clipboard but in the past it was always stored in RAM. I doubt this has changed. Applications access it by using the system functions.

    Where is Windows Clipboard stored?

The clipboard isn't a file. Its contents are stored in the computer's memory. To use its contents, simply go to the program you want to use it in, click the place where you want it to be put, and press Ctrl-V (paste). If it is in the clipboard it is in memory (as previously stated).Mar 1, 2018

Windows key + V will show you the clipboard.

If you are talking about the physical storage, I may be wrong here, but for my Local PC (without any cloud synch or storage) , as said above, unpinned clipboard entries are volatile, but all pinned Clipboard items are encrypted and stored with each clip item in separate sub-folders, here:

    C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Clipboard\Pinned\

Just to satisfy my curiosity; Is Pinned the same as History?

Not really, Pinned has to be deleted individually while History usually can be cleared en masse.

I shoulda known Shawn would have a tutorial for it: Pin or Unpin Items in Clipboard History in Windows 10 This and the Clipboard History link in the tutorial explains it for me, thanks Berton for prodding my curiosity!

Thank you! I am looking to automate clearing it without user intervention and hope it was somewhere I could easily access. Stopping and starting the service seems to accomplish a wipe (except pinned, as mentioned in thread).
