    win 10 boot question on 2 drives


    hi guys
    i have 2 separate drives, one is a crucial M.2 500 gig ssd drive that sits on the motherboard slot and the other is a samsung 500 gig solid state drive. i have win 10 on the M.2, and i want to put win 10 on the samsung, can this be done and boot to ones choice?

    can i have both installed with each one having there respective win 10 installation on each drive and when i boot the computer
    just disable the drive i dont want to boot to?
    the reason why im doing this is because my gkids are on the crucial M.2 drive only, and the samsung ssd i want to be able to have just for my use only
    im thinking i could just disable in the bios the unused drive but im not sure being green with the drives

    Hate to be a harbinger of the process but with youngsters involved some of my clients have found it more cost-effective to get an inexpensive computer for their youngster's uses, let them break their own which can be an appropriate learning thing.

    I don't do dual-booting but have read of issues with needing 2 licenses for Windows. The Retail price of Win10 can be about half the cost of a usable computer with mouse and keyboard at a super store [without monitor].

    Yes, you should be able to limit the access to certain drives in each Windows installations via GPO.
