creating shortcut key for missing keyboard letter

    Try Autohotkey (free to download and install) - e.g.

    ^/::Send c

    That's press CTRL and / together and you get 'c'

    Put that line in a text file e.g.

    Sendc.ahk

    with Autohotkey installed and double click it. It will run and pressing those keys will produce 'c'.

    Or rt click Sendc.ahk and you can click Compile to produce Sendc.exe

    Naturally you can choose other keys in place of CTRL + /

    You could also buy a USB number key pad. Amazon....about $10.00

    You haven't actually said what model your old Toshiba is. Keyboards are specific to a particular model, depending on which model you have you may be able to get them a lot cheaper than that. One for my Toshiba L750 is £7.75 with free shipping in the UK, for example....
