Update Graphics Card driver

Hello,My Graphics card is Nvidia GT710.Occasionally I update its driver.Several times ago I updated the driver by running the .exe file and selecting only the graphics driver, nothing else.It left a large folder "Installer2" (about 530 MB) in the program files folder, valuable space.Made some experiment: With small program "Uniextract" extracted everything from the downloaded .exe file.Found a folder there "Display Driver".Opened the Device Manager, in the 'Display Adapter' selected 'Update driver', browsed to the above folder and in seconds the driver was updated and working. No "Installer2" folder.Is it good practice or am I missing something.Answers will be appreciated.

OS winver 1809 x64, 17763.1075 (not upgraded yet)

PS. Sorry, forgot to mention, the downloaded update file was 'Standard', not 'Game Ready'.

Think you meant Standard, not DCH. They are all Game Ready unless you downloaded the Studio version. Common error.

You're probably ok doing that. Not much different than having the .inf of any driver and pointing Device Manager>Update to that folder/file.
