The rollback feature does not always work.
Create a image backup to an external USB hard drive using software like Macrium Reflect Free. If you don't have an external hard drive, get one. A 1TB runs around $50 to $60 and is well worth the investment.
I had no problem rolling back and it was done in less than a half hour. I did all things mentioned as I am pretty good with computers but nothing really worked. I had a cloned hdd as I always do but it rolled back fine. Working like did before. Yes, this has also been a problem with past windows of this driver which is exactly why they should have had it completely focused and fixed. There is nothing worse than a driver to stop or blue screen you. So many people have had to literally format and install again. I feel really sorry for those who only have one computer and it goes down on the upgrade. They have to take their computer someplace and spend more than they would if they purchased the software many times.
Hard drives are cheap today and I have one computer with Win 7 Ultimate and the other with Win 7 Professional. They have worked flawlessly and I have cloned many times without glitch. All you hear about is Win 10 freebie. Well, I liked the interface a lot but this kind of stuff really hurts all people. Also, in a few weeks to months improvement and more criticisms will come out hurting and helping.
Upgraded to 10 using using ISO.
Black screen with cursor.
Restarted--- Black screen with cursor.
Had factory recovery disks. :)
Used them. Recovered to 8 oem.
Downloaded Macrium {my paid version-V6--Server edition}.
Used my system image on a usb to restore directly to 8.1 Pro.
"3rd party" programs can save you a lot of trouble.
Forgot to mention I use Paragon Professional 14 Drive Copy and it is just great. I literally wanted the roll back to see if it worked ok. I mean people need to know you only have a 1 month option on that. I usually only trust my own completely cloned backups and will certainly probably restore with my backup clone. The migrate option is wonderful for any system. I mean on a small hdd you can backup the windows partition in a matter of 15 minutes and restore it quickly. Good Luck to all those who are enjoying their Windows 10 Upgrades.
