Canon Pixma MP240 Scanner not working since latest Windows 10 update

Looking for help for this problem. Haven't used my scanner since the last Win 10 Ver 1909 update on Feb 9 & now when I use it, I get the message
"Cannot communicate with scanner. Cable may be disconnected or scanner may be turned off. Check status. Scanner driver will be closed".
The printer works as normal. Went to Canon's website and I don't see any new driver downloads available & they say Win 7 driver should work. I uninstalled the printer & reinstalled using original cdrom, rebooted computer & still have the same problem.

    Have you tried:
    - installing the driver in compatibility mode
    - uninstalling the 'latest Windows update' - whichever that be
    - using any appropriate System Restore point
    - restoring a disk image if you have one created around the appropriate time (again and again disk imaging is recommended here e.g. Macrium Reflect - free-paid)

If it's USB connected you might try using a USB2 socket, not USB3.

Solved Canon Pixma MP240 Scanner not working since latest Win 10 updat

Thank you dalchina, I solved it myself just now by going back to Canon's website & downloading the Windows 8.1 driver and now the scanner works perfectly like it used to.
