I’m How do you install ANYTHING on a computer that DOESN'T HAVE AN OPERATING SYSTEM INSTALLED ON IT?!???????
If you’d READ the thread you know the problem instead of jumping in in the middle of a thread you know nothing about.
    But thanks for your input.

Have you tried the UEFI update download and hitting F2 yet?

The machine doesn’t have an operating system.
I can’t download anything or change where it boots from because it requests and administrator password that I don’t know because I didn’t put one in it.

I know that - when I suggested the download a few posts back, I assumed you could access the internet with some other device. If you can't get that UEFI diagnostic onto a USB stick, then you have to find someone to physically assist you - a neighbour, perhaps?

So I have these pics and more
Having a USB media won’t help
I can’t make it boot from anywhere but the drive.

The HP just finished it’s “clean install”

It opened the exact same screen!!!!

This time it’s a black screen with the little white dots chasing each other in a circle .
    Very very disappointing!
    I just don’t get it. :-(
How?! How, it just supposedly installed a factory W20 OS.
As I understand it there is a separate partition that contains the OS which it uses for a reinstall.
It either installed it and can’t bring it up or it sat here for 3 hours counting up to 100% and installing nothing.

I think I can get it to look at a USB port
But I don’t hold out any hope that it will let me select it as a boot up option.’
In case it will I have to put something ON a USB.

Considering the symptoms that this computer is displaying
What media would ya’ll say I use?

Hey Rich, this looks pretty sketchy.
Tell ya what, YOU lock your machine up and then do what you’ve purposing.
Let me know how that works out for ya.

That is an EXCELENT site! I have tried it a couple of times and it has helped me. Nothing sketchy about it. You don´t have many options anyways, do you?

Another option is take the hard drive out, put it into a different PC, install Windows and put it back and let it do its magic.

I have no options so I should use a outlaw hacking website to do what HP has explicitly condemned.
Sorry pal YOU need to be run off this forum.
HP’s stance on being locked out is quite clear.
Regardless of the fact that their position has caused and is causing me considerable difficulty.
You routinely come on here and advise people to break the law?
That site is not sanctioned by HP!

    HP MONITORS THAT SITE.
    Wow!!!

"...Another option is take the hard drive out, put it into a different PC, install Windows and put it back and let it do its magic..." That will fix the HD and the OS, however, OP will still run into the UEFI?/BIOS? administrator password brick wall.

With that statement, I suggest you contact HP again and spend whatever they want to charge you to fix it and move on.

With the attitude you just showed, You are going to run out of people willing to assist very quickly.

You say the thread was closed, BUT if they really had an issue with it it would have been DELETED not just closed.

Reading through all the posts in this thread I can only conclude that your rudeness and lack of manners are not very endearing!

People here are trying their best, but I am not....i'm out!
