    MBCfg64.dll error on startup.

    Ok...

So I've been getting this "There was a problem starting C:\Windows\System32\MBCfg64.dll The specified module could not be found." When I boot my PC

I've tried updating drivers and tried to look through startup for a likely culprit to this error, and search the internet for solutions but most google searches point to a Creative software suite that I don't have and have never used. This Windows install is only 2 months old, so I'm not sure what exactly is going on with this.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have MSI motherboard. They offer Soundblaster cinema for better sound experience.

Go to MSI support page and download it.

I've found some posts that installing .net ver 3.5 and reinstalling Soundblaster cinema can fix this issue.

It's an ASrock B450 Steel Legend. AFAIK the only sound suite this board has is from RealTek, but I'll look again.

Could be from some game you installed?

It is very likely your Sound Card which IS made by Creative Technology. These are usually set to start on boot up. You might try uninstalling it using Device Manager. Use the device manager by right-clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties and then selecting the Hardware tab to look for sound, video and game controllers. To uninstall the driver, use the same device manager menu from Step One, select your sound device and click Properties. There should be an option under properties to uninstall the drivers. Once you have done this then reboot the computer and the driver should be reinstalled.

It's possible but figuring out what game would take days, I have around 50 installed.

Have you download and install this latest Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8730.1 for your motherboard from ASRock Website?

Tips Creative SoundBlaster is not supported your motherboard!
Try uninstall device software in your Device Manager > Sound, Video and game controller > Realtek Audio and tick box 'Delete the driver software for this device' then do restart your Windows and try reinstall latest Realtek from ASRock Website!

Perform a clean boot state to found out which startup service or program causing the error message.
