explorer.exe keeps crashing when opening folders - windows 10 pro 1909

    Hi, Yves o said accessing those folders from a new user account was no problem- so unless there's some reason that one account is affected by the folder content and the other not, I'm puzzled. That said, the only thing that triggered this that's been mentioned is copying those folders, so certainly worth trying to reverse that.

    Method 1: Make sure that your system is currently up to date or has any pending updates

    1. Go to start menu and open settings with the gear icon
    2. Open Updates and security settings
    3. Choose Windows update
    4. Click on check for updates

    Method 2: Re-register the dll file
    1. Open start menu and search for command prompt
    2. Right click and choose to run as admin
    3. Input these commands

    regsvr32.exe /u ntdll.dll (this will uninstall the file)
    regsvr32.exe ntdll.dll and press (this will reinstall the file).



    Restart the computer and try again.
