I routinely create a second local admin account on all my machines - you never know when you might need a second way in should your main account get corrupted.

I have not explained it explicitly before but there are two benefits to having a spare password-protected local admin account -
1 You can get back in to your computer if your normal account gets corrupted - I reserve the second of my two spare admins for this & I do not use it for anything routinely. It remains pristine and incorruptable because corruption happens to accounts in use not others.
2 You have an admin account you can use during faultfinding or technical snooping about without altering your normal account's access permissions.
    - If I ever get infected whilst online then everything my normal account has access to is placed at risk.
    - So if I have to grant additional access to anything for some investigation I'm doing, it's the first spare admin that gets it.
    - That way, the access that my normal account has is kept to normal levels and, by having UAC at full, any attempt by malware to grant additional permissions would trigger an admin prompt.
