    Desktop icons in win 10

Hello community. Wondering why half of my desktop icons have the new " Edge " green & blue swirl in place of the programs icon? Also how can I change them?

    Thanks for any help,

What were your icons representing program files, PDF's or site links?

If PDF's or links set default program to the appropriate program.

I put all site links in a folder, change the folder icon, then open the links with the browser of your choice. The new " Edge " is not IE 11.

Thanks for your Jacee. And yes, Edge is definitely not IE11, no. Much better in my opinion.
    Thanks again,

Edge likely asserted itself as the default browser.

Which browser do you use as the default?

Then everything worked as it should.

Your links were represented by the Edge icon as that was / is your default.

The Edge icon changed with the new version to the swirl and as such the old icon was replaced with new.
