    Easeus SW

Hi,after had encountered the KODC virus and my all pc had been encrypted with ,i had to roll true win 10 from win 7,i think i did a mistake not remove the virus first as i had made a clean install of win7 to win 10,i still have backed data that cannot be opened,

now im using EaseUD data recovery 11.8 to backup my lost data from my 2nd drive.i had made a scan that lasted almost 2 hrs,but when i tried to recover it on an external 2 terabytes drive it told me that i had no sufficient space.
is this a win 10 issue or?

please help, and if someone knows if i can decrypt my 2nd drive so i can save my data ill be happy.

Strange is that my 2nd drive seems empty but Easus found the files, and i think when i was formatting,i pressed something and maybe i deleted the drive, but easus found data and i saw that such photos, docs et... where there

KODC is a nasty one. You may (or may not) be able to decrypt the .kodc files. Depends on how old your variant of the malware was.

Kodc is a malicious program, belonging to the Stop/Djvu ransomware family...
...There are currently two versions of Djvu ransomware infections: old and new. The old versions were designed to encrypt data by using a hard-coded "offline key" whenever the infected machine had no internet connection or the server was timing out/not responding. Therefore, some victims were able to decrypt data ... however, since the encryption mechanism has been slightly changed (hence the new version, released in August, 2019), the decrypter no longer works and it is not supported anymore. If your data has been encrypted by an older version, you might be able to restore it with the another tool developed by Emsisoft and Michael Gillespie. It supports a total of 148 Djvu's variants...

It's normal to say that there's no sufficient space because the files are already on same place and you want to return them. However, 1st method is to try to recover them on an another hdd, but not on the main hdd, to do not overwrite the old files in case you need to recover them.

2- Download Shadow Explorer, run it and see if it find a previous Windows shadow [before encryption date]
If it found, that's good, explorer them and COPY what you want to paste them somewhere.

Almost the Shadows located in the main partition C:\ and it could have your old files.

Regarding drive E: do recovery and then, recover them on any new partition. If you still can recover them. Any playing on HDD will reduce the recovering chance.
