Is there a way to place the preview pane inside the file explorer pane

I have a blank space in my file explorer ribbon panel on the right. Can I place the preview pane there? I'm running the latest Windows 10 Pro..

No, but there are some programs around that provide a separate preview in a floating window typically by selecting a file in file explorer and pressing SPACE.

    E.g. Quicklook (Store)

(have to add the space else that site goes crazy on tenforums and produces many lines in the post)

    More (including Quicklook):

Qttabbar by Quizo (free) can also provide a popup preview when you hover over an item supported
(just one of its many functions)
    Media Preview - QTTabBar Manual

    - but only in 1 of 3 categories - text -e.g. bat, txt, reg; media (anything playable by WMP); image (most common formats).
I.e. no doc, docx, rtf, pdf, xlsx ...

Here are a couple of examples of image previews with Qttabbar:

TQ dalchina for the insights.....but not what I wanted really....

The existing preview pane sufficed. I just thought if it can be placed on top in the ribbon panel, that would be nice..

I know it's not what you want- you would have to code your own version of file explorer I think...

You could also try the Details Pane on the bottom via Old/New Explorer...
