    JL,

I do not use CCleaner but my understanding, from reading other TenForums threads, is that CCleaner keeps a log of Registry entries that it had changed. Doesn't that point you to the item you need to preserve?

I don't know exactly which item CCleaner is purging BUT on a hunch I deselected "Other Explorer MRUs" from CCleaner, ran it, and so far the smaller/minimized/whatever-you-wanna-call-it setting is being retained (once set per application).

    We shall see

I believe you chose wisely! By default, that box is un-checked in CCLeaner, like mine. And like I said before, it remained everywhere I had set it.
