Yes! This was discussed at length in the Windows 8 forums, I'll try to find any relevant posts.
Just reset the BIOS. Open the case and press the BIOS reset button (if the mobo has one that is). If the mobo does not have a reset button then removing the battery works just fine (turn off the power first!)

If that was true for your computer that was a hardware/manufacturer limitation, not a Windows limitation. I've never seen or heard of a computer with a BIOS that was only accessible from Windows. What make/model PC was/is it?
BIOS can be accessed via windows using third-party software. But is not a good idea as it has been known to be the cause of additional problems.

Windows 10 seems to have affected my bios by allowing Windows to boot first. I'm just looking for a better method than unplugging my computer to get to the bios.
It is very quick to reset the BIOS. Much quicker than installing third-party software.

What motherboard model are you using? The manufacturer may well have their own downloadable software to access the BIOS from Windows. It is not a good method though...

Agreed on both - utilities that run in Windows to access the BIOS are definitely not the best methods

Turn power off, unplug from wall outlet, and remove battery. All modern power supplies will still be supplying some power when just turned off and not unplugged.

If the OP posts the make and model of the computer we are talking about we can probably figure out how to get into the BIOS and/or change boot order.

Also, in the Windows 10 troubleshooting reboot section there is an option on some computers to actually make it reboot into bios setup.

Have a look at this, https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5...dows-10-a.html This should get you into your BIOS settings menu on the next reboot without having to turn off Windows Fast Startup. Once your in then you can change the boot order.
