Hi all,
I recently purchased a new machine and have transferred save files from a game I play via a flashdrive. The files now appear as read only on my new machine. I have unchecked the box in properties and applied, but it just reverts back to read only after exiting the properties menu.
I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar, or has a fix for the issue.
I am running Windows 10 Ver. 1909.

The files or the folder they are in?
Folder read-only properties are not what they seem and can be ignored. They do behave as you describe which is why I asked.
If this isn't the problem, I suggest posting the full path to the folder they are in together with the game's name & version in the hope that a user of that game looks at this thread.
- You might also look in the game's website & their user forums
- If you go back to your original post, look underneath & click on Edit post, you'll be able to add the game's name to your question. This will help attract those who know about the game.
