    Interestingly, if I copy and paste from that website that Jacee mentioned, the paste works in Excel. I have shown the results in Column Result 2.

    em dash is working fine for me in Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint. Even in this post:

    alt + 0151 equal —

    And again, I'm running Office 365.

    Yes, I gathered that I am unique from prior posts where others (including yourself) were able to create em dashes without difficulty while having Office 365.

    If possible, I would like to know what I need to do to address my problem.

    It seems like a challenging problem, doesn't it. I know I can rule out a defective keyboard because the keyboard has no clue which app I am using. Aside from that, I am at a loss. I find it puzzling that some apps are okay and others are not. Even within the Office 365 family, I get different results.

    I have a hunch that it will come down to the following two choices: reinstall Windows from scratch or learn to live with it. Given that I can always cut and paste, I am likely to live with it.

    If it's that serious to warrant a reinstall you could try this first - Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade. You won't lose your data or have to reinstall your programs. And if it doesn't work than clean install.

    As always perform a full backup before any drive maintenance

    You could tell us if you're on a laptop or a desktop with a keyboard (what type). The specks of your computer would help us determine what might be the actual problem.
