Reboot and select proper boot device issue

Hey folks, scratching my head on this one as my computer no longer boots. Had a friend ask me to wipe her SSD from her laptop that wouldn’t turn on. I plugged in her ssd and ran Diskpart to delete partitions on her ssd (Disk Manager wouldn’t allow me to do so). Formatted her drive and removed her ssd.

I rebooted my computer shortly after and now unable to boot to windows 10.

Bios shows my ssd, startup repair fails, command prompt seeing all files intact and appears healthy. I cannot use diskpart -> select partition -> active as it is not MBT.

Any adice or guidance on how I should proceed? Ideally, without a complete reinstall?

It sounds as if you messed up your own HD in the process...You might need to rebuild the BCD probably.

Following your advice, I tried the bootrec /rebuildbcd command. It found my windows install and asks to add to boot list. I hit Yes and it says, “The system cannot find the path specified”

Thanks for the earlier response and direction. Unfortunately I’m hitting another wall. I also tried bootrec/fixboot and get access denied.

Any way to get a screenshot from disk management showing all details? Do you know if it's uefi? What cmds did you type in disk part as that may tell us if you did something to effect your hd
