I thought that must have been the case

As it happens, I did a clean install of 1909 yesterday. That machine has been hardly used yet, it has just the one 'W32:' key (so far).

no worries... do you use a lot of virtual desktops with many things on them?

Hi dalchina, No never used them just came across them whilst playing. To be honest I can't really see a use for them? it's not like having a dual desktop with 2 monitors, i.e development code on one and run-time on the other which I have used in the past. It still uses the same 'instances' of an app in other desktops, so don't really see what it could be useful for other than to de-clutter your view for this session?

I guess you could set one up for, say, code development, another for office work, another for games and so on... but no, doesn't appeal to me either. I have played with it briefly, so could understand having relevant reg entries.. yours sound excessive, asuming they all apparently relate to virtual desktops.

They seem to accumulate over time. As I saId, my new clean install has 1. A machine with a less recent clean install of 1809 has 139, while my longest standing machine which got the upgrade to the original release of W10 in 2015 has over 2,000.

My guess: 'SessionInfo\1\' seems to refer to the main desktop (2 would be a second one, etc), while the 'ApplicationViewManagement' name suggests that each one is window size/position data for a particular app that has been run on that desktop. The more different apps you have run since installing Windows, the more you accumulate...
