When I copy folders to a flash drive why are extra folders created?

When I drag and copy folders to a flash drive I am seeing two extra files/folders created. What are these files/folders and what is their purpose?

    DESKTOP-LLQ????
    MediaID.bin

Thank you in advance for any help,
    yeto

    My possible answer.
Is this folder a backup copy of a HD?

MediaID.bin is a file created as a result of your backup.
If you move your backup files to any other location the media file will come with it.

These folders are on my hard drive but not a "full" backup of my HD. Is there some setting in Windows 10 Backup that may be causing this to happen because every time I go to format this flashdrive I get a message saying this flashdrive/drive is in use with another program?

Update: I went into Windows 10 backup and the drive was tied to the backup option even though it was not active. I removed the drive from backup and rebooted the computer. After reboot, I also ejected the flash drive . I then inserted the flash drive and drag/copied the folders from harddrive to flashdrive and the extra folders did not appear. I "think" everything is now working as I expected.

Thank you for taking time to post. Your post prompted me to check backup which I hoped has resolved my question.

    Thank you,
    yeto
