    Windows Features

    Winver 18363.628

When I do a search for "windows features", it appears to be hung on [Please wait}. Does not populate. Waited 30 minutes, no change. Any ideas?

My other computer populates in about 1-2 seconds.

Well, it's not the update to 18363.628. Both my machines that I have updated still populate, one is Home the other Pro.

Try SFC /SCANNOW in a command prompt (Admin).

Didn't mean to imply that 18363.628 had a problem, just posting that as a request to post your current version when starting a new thread Just finished sfc /scannow ..no problems.

No, but it was a possibility we had to eliminate.

Before trying anything else, just click Start and select Restart from the Power button (it's surprising just how many 'oddities' that can cure).

If you still have the problem after that, looking at Task Manager > Details when Windows Features is saying 'Please wait...' it's TiWorker.exe that's running to generate that list.

There are a couple of relevant Troubleshooters that may help. The first is the Windows Update troubleshooter. The second is hidden away, Its the System Maintenance troubleshooter and is only listed in the Control Panel under All Control Panel Items > Troubleshooting > System and Security.

Did a restart, no joy. Went to taskmanager and TiWorker.exe was running. Asked to "open file location" and selected it and ran it. Came back to search and windows features populated as it should be. Restarted x2 and it remains operational.

Thanks Bree for the help, made a note in log book in the event it happens again.
    Marking it Solved
