System wakes from hibernation but boots up as if totally shut down
I hope I'm explaining this problem clearly. Hibernation doesn't seem to be working correctly on my system. The problem has been going on for at least a month, maybe longer, maybe since I upgraded to 1909. I need help in interpreting the error message and fixing the problem.
After hibernating my system in the evening, the next morning I can always wake it up by pressing a key on the keyboard. That's what you would expect when the system is in hibernation mode. However, it boots up as though it had been shut down completely. This problem occurs only if I hibernate the system from the Power options. If the system hibernates during the day because I am not using it, there is no problem with restarting from hibernation.
For about a week now, I have been running the powercfg command, but I don't get any useful information.
So this morning I looked at the event log, something I don't always do. I found 25 of this same critical event, going back to December 16.
Some of these event times are in the morning, when I started up my system for the day. Other events are like 1:47 am, several hours after I hibernated the system or other times in the early morning. I didn't understand the explanation:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
So I looked at the details for the last event. For "system" here is the detail (omitting the name of the system)
Here is the "event data" detail:
How do I track down and fix this problem?
(If you see another screenshot below, please ignore it. It shows up in the preview. I thought I had deleted it from the post, but somehow it persisted.)
