Right pointing double angle icons on all desktop file icons

Last week, all of my desktop file icons now have blue arrows next to them. Looks like this >> but blue. This is NOT the compressed arrow icons that everyone has in their threads. Can someone help me get rid of them? Using Windows 10. Thank you.

Yes and no. It is not Norton 360 - it is Norton Security Suite provided by Comcast. But have always had it and this just showed up last week.

I have seen norton do that. Not sure if your norton got updated recently. Really no need for third party anti virus software as built in windows defender is much better in my opinion.

Those are certainly from Norton’s backup software (part of their antivirus programs). The arrows indicate the files haven’t been backed up yet.

OK this answer had me wondering as after so many years of using Norton, I had never seen this. I had to go check my Norton360 settings. I don't use Norton's backup and it has never been set up. I use another dynamic backup program.

It may be that Norton has automatically added those files (I believe it does) whether you use it or not.
You should be able to turn backup off under settings.
