    Is My Privacy Being Compromised?

Being a curious sort, I've been looking around and I think this is suspicious?
Settings>Privacy> Under windows permissions I see everything is turned on by default. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box BUT I'm finding the descriptions of each "topic" a bit confusing.. See my screen shot. Any advice here?, Thanks Dave BTW I love this place

Then do what I have done - turn almost everything off. Nothing bad will happen, if something does need access (Cortana and the microphone, for example) it will ask you for permission. I let windows track app launches, for example. That allows Task View to work, but in Settings > Privacy > Activity history I only let it store activity history on this device.

Is your privacy being compromised? Probably not, especially if you only use a local account. With a Microsoft Account some details are inevitably held in the cloud. For more information, read their Privacy Statement.

Moneypit says 'everything is turned on by default.' Am I incorrect, but looking at the settings image, everything looks to be turned off.

Your privacy is not being compromised. By the way -- your clothes dryer jammed and you need to go to take a look a it. Be careful as you head up the stairs because you dog peed on the 3rd step.

Click the Learn more link (near top right of that window in your screenshot) and you'll get better descriptions of those topics.

As MS Win-10 comes out of the box, or the PC comes out of the store, you're not Un-Safe, as long as you don't connect to the internet.
But plug in that LAN cable or activate your WiFi, and everything changes.

I use many Batch Files and Scripts to fix some of the Security Holes, but there are still a bunch of things that need to be done, from the keyboard. It usually takes me about an hour, to go through everything necessary to close up all the Security Holes. It's almost like plugging up all the holes in a screen door.

I've been called a nut, because of my intense hatred of anything that negatively affects either the security or productivity of my computer. So I work very hard, to make sure that my computer (or of my customers) is as safe and productive as I can possibly make it.
Out of the box, W-10 is UNSAFE and only less than 50% efficient. I can fix that!

Once Win-10 is made SAFE, and tweaked and tuned for maximum efficiency, and user friendliness, it's actually a pretty good, and stable OS.
I figure that since we're stuck with it, I might as well make it as SAFE, Efficient, and User Friendly as possible.

    Good Luck to you!

    Can you justify this statement?

I doubt it as it's utter bollocks.
