I think I have decided to return my Dell due to the occasional quiet squeak that I hear. I am concerned about all the data I have on it already. How would I go about getting all my data off so that the next possible owner can not get to it? thanks
To retain your important files > copy and paste files overnight
For a computer that has no work related data > reset remove files, diskpart clean all, secure erase, disk sanitizer, etc. (SSD vs HD)
For a computer that has any work related data (government, health, etc.) there are additional cleaning or disposal requirements.
