To open the nVidia control panel, try right clicking on the desktop background

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have a new unit!

    Processor - Inter Core i5-9400F.
    OS - Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903.
    Monitor - Acer VG240Y.
    GPU - GeForce GT 730.

The NVIDIA Control Panel is listed in the Start Menu
but does not appear when it is selected. But the
    NVIDIA GeForce Experience works.
    Mysterious.

The nVidia control panel is listed among my Control Panels, but not in the Start menu. (Am I being too literal-minded?) Either way, I am surprised that it is listed if not present.

Some people who have received rev 432 from Windows Update have complained that the control panel is not installed. They were directed to get it from the Microsoft Store. (Free, but some didn't want to do it anyway.) I have never personally had that issue, but I use the Game Ready drivers, from an installation package downloaded from nVidia.

I always use the nVidia control panel to configure my graphics, but I'd hope that the resolution would be controlled from the System/Display settings.

Display settings in CAD programs mostly have something
to do with the appearance of 2D and 3D objects (rendering).
Screen resolution is not considered except in the System
    Requirement.

Just a thought, do you have to set the display settings in your Cad programs?

Still got the "Circle not circular problem" but I decided to live with it.
    Thanks to those who replied.

    That is very defeatist.

It is simply a matter of setting the right resolution, you must have that set wrong and upscaling your original resolution.

Check settings both in Windows and your Applications.
Both should be set to use 1920 x 1080.

Obviously any Desktop image should be designed for 1920 x 1080, or at least the correct aspect ratio.

You should also be using HDMI or DisplayPort for connection as that sends EDID info back to Windows.

Never give up so easily! Try this online screen test:
    https://www.eizo.be/monitor-test/
    Circle Not Circular-960w.png
If it fills the screen and the circle is circular, then your monitor setup is Ok and it must be the CAD s/w. If the screen is not filled or not circular, then CAD is not the source of the problem.

A few more for you for colour and geometry checking ...

    Calibration Charts.zip

I've had to remove a large Colour Print test file as I broke the forum upload rules for the zip file

Can give you access if you do a lot of colour printing

    Edit,

Managed to get it within spec for upload ...
