What happens when you open a Command Prompt or PowerShell? Does a path display? Does the command dir<Enter> list the contents?
Have you used any tweaking/customization software?

Type file explorer options into the search on your taskbar, select open, select the view tab and scroll down and click the option to show drive letters. Is that what you're looking for?
Hide or Show Drive Letters in Windows 10

I have determined that drive letters are absent because the item This PC is absent from the navigation pane; drive letters would be among the subitems of This PC. So, mentally reword this thread's title to be "How to get functional This PC into navigation pane, without reinstallation of Windows".
First screenshot shows one of a few places in my Windows in which the nonfunctional words appear.
Version updates do not cure it. Nor do the common DISM operations. PLEASE nobody write the forever useless sfc trope.
Hello @thename,
Do you mean to add drives in the navigation pane like in the tutorial below?

To add to mine, C: and D: are partitions on the only internal 1TB drive, split as 150GB and 780GB. The rest are 3 USB and 2 NAS.
