I do not understand, from the posts so far, what your situation is and what you want it to be.

Please post a screenshot of the whole of your File explorer, Navigation pane.
    - Perhaps you'd like to post it twice with the second copy annotated to show what you want to appear.

    How about;

In Windows Explorer, click 'View', then pull-down below Navigation pane, select 'Navigation pane and Show all folders'

I just saw the fine print in your first post indicating this didn't add drive letters. Please disregard.

I have determined that drive letters are absent because the item This PC is absent from the navigation pane; drive letters would be among the subitems of This PC. So, mentally reword this thread's title to be "How to get functional This PC into navigation pane, without reinstallation of Windows".

    Interesting and nice catch NMI.

I do not have this 'attributes folder' (as shown in the tutorial) in either location and can see 'This PC & drive letters'.

The tutorial directs you to remove the attributes folder in order to display 'This PC' in the navigation pane.
I'm just adding this information for the OPer.

The This PC window includes a Folders group.... Removing all of the user folders will also remove the Folders group
Should This PC then remain? sans Folders group

No change; This PC still absent. Same after logging out /into Windows. 20H2

    Hello,

Go ahead and post a screenshot showing what you are seeing to see if anything may stand out.

No, the internal drive(s)' partition letters. If This PC were present, I expect that its subitems would be there also.

Your information nonetheless is useful to me on its own separate merit.
Very odd. The fixed drives aren't even additons to the MyComputer Namespace, they're integral to the folder.

Check the registry that neither of these values exist:

    Code:
    HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoDrives
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoDrives
Either of those can hide drives on a per-letter basis.

    Another culprit might be"

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AllowedEnumeration

Culprit by presence or absence? Absent in mine.

Also missing in mine. I have 'This PC' and drive letters in the navigation pane.
