Yes it was working fine before updating the BIOS/CPU/RAM , I had to update the three because my old mobo had DDR3 ram.

The hardware.txt came up empty the two times I tried running it this is the zipped files:

Hello again, sorry for delay, I was pretty busy.

    was your previous motherboard Asus?

because it looks like your current windows system retained some software, services or drivers related to hardware which is no longer available.

these programs/drivers/services or what ever they are may be causing your boot to hang.

So you should first get rid of all the stuff which is no longer relevant.
this includes everything related to hardware which was removed.

Let me know if this solves your issue, if not, follow below steps to provide more info:

    Windows key + R
    msinfo32
    File -> Save

zip the file and post here.

also let me know what hardware components (make and model) were previously installed on PC (now removed)

Hi again, I continue to try during the day and I uninstalled everything ASUS related , I had to uninstall it with a program to force uninstall software called Revo Uninstaller because Uninstall exe was not working and there was nothing ASUS related on Programs list, unfortunately this did not fix the issue how ever I think I found out today that it doesnt actually freeze before boot, but rather it takes a long time (5 minutes or more) to boot to windows logo and eventually to login screen , and sometimes it boots fast no issues, I just thought it got frozen because the first time it happened I did not wait and I manually restart it and I kept doing that and just until now I decided to let it wait for a while and it did go through, I still find it weird that it takes a long time to boot but if I manually restart the PC it will usually boot up fast without needing to wait a lot.

So I wonder if it can be a hardware malfunctioning and if we can rule out OS re install and that sort of stuff? I should also mention when I go to sleep I can see the card reader still on and the rest of the PC is off. I ve always found this weird.

Below I will leave the txt output that you needed in your post above:

I would simply reinstall Win10 and let all the new drivers, etc... update. Job done in less than an hour.

Do not touch the BIOS if you don't need to.

Windwos "Seems" to be fine though, like I said sometimes it boots fast properly, I just noticed its the BIOS that I Think its kind of mal functioning, in Task Manager, last BIOS time was 232.2 seconds, that is a hell lot, also I cannot seem to enter BIOS Setup by pressing the DEL button like in the splash prompt, only if I select another prompt which is boot menu and select setup from there, though I haven't tested if its just taking too long to respond or just plain not working too.

I will try to connect another HDD and perform a clean win install because I dont want to risk my current windows install for nothing, if it still fails to respond I'm going to opt for the MOBO being the issue, also the boot getting stuck happens even before the load of the Windows logo, not during windows load.

Hello, it looks like you got rid of asus.

However you mentioned CPU replacement and I see you have bunch of intel drivers on your system.
all of these drivers are off except one which is started in boot time.

    Intel power engine plug-in driver

If you're sure you do not use Intel hardware, then you may want to start removing these drivers starting with the above mentioned.

    - - - Updated - - -

Btw. this program may help you to disable specific drivers and services
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sys...loads/autoruns

however be carefull to disable only drivers and services you know you don't need or are
otherwise not essential for system boot.

note your changes so that your can revert if needed later.

Hi again thanks for keeping up with me !

I have run the utility and I have only found one intel thing in the list, I made sure the "Everything" Tab was selected, the only intel related thing it found on boot is :

Intel(R) Serial IO GPIO Controller Driver , which is located in : c:/windows/system32/drivers/ialpssi_gpio.sys

Should I get "rid" of this driver mentioned above? Also, I have found several items marked in Yellow, that say : File not found. Should I get rid of these as well?

Also, what is the proper way to delete these, is it Right click, then Delete? or do I just need to Disable them or something else?

EDIT: AHA, I also found something about ASUS, AsIO, apparentlyt the software I tried to uninstall is still lurking around, should I just uncheck the box beside or delete the service?

My money is on the 120 GB HD being bad. Either that or some windows corruption. Check your HDs with crystaldiskinfo.

Now I remembered that I used to have a problem similar to yours, I thought it was one of the hard drives, but it ended up being one of the lines from the PSU. See if connecting the hds to a different line in the PSU changes anything.
