No, you cannot install MSE in Windows 8 or above. Yes, the built-in Windows Defender (or Windows Security as it has recently been renamed) should be protecting you now. It actually uses the same scan engine and definitions as MSE did.

Have a look in 'Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security' for an overview, click the 'Open Windows Security' button you'll see there for more details.

Thanks for all the help and advice, today I need to sort out email, just hope I can get or find all my address's from Live Mail, as secretary to a lot of league and bowls clubs, have well over 100 address's, don't fancy having to input all them,
Have 2 email address, one Plusnet and one Gmail, so which would be the best mail program to use so both address go there,

If you only have two email addresses the free version of eM Client is one of the best email clients out there - eM Client | The Best Email Client for Windows and MacOS

I would avoid windows live mail like the plague, I have had so many customers over the years that have moved to windows 7 from vista and had issues with live mail, and to 10 well like said before it will probaboly work but I would highly recommend moving on, just like flogging a dead horse, trying to stay with it.

For two email accounts it's free.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PRO LICENSE AND A FREE LICENSE?

While the Free license allows you to set up the maximum of two accounts in the application, it is possible to add an unlimited number of accounts with the Pro license. The Pro license also enables you to use eM Client for commercial purposes. Commercial use is any activity that helps you make profit, the Free license therefore cannot be used in company settings or on personal computers for business correspondence. Pro users also gain access to the dedicated support system and to the licensing manager. The support options are fully described here.
