    Hi and Welcome
    A few more questions need to be asked so we can help.
    What and where are you importing from?
    What type of pictures? JPG, GIF,etc?
    Are you hard wired to something like a cell phone to import from?
    Are you wifi connected?

    A little more details please

    @winxp Hello and thank you very much,
    I use a regular PC
    I use a camera, then I take the SD card out of it, into a usb adapter , into the PC
    Then I use autoplay, and when I am in the import pictures, I click on settings, and click the box "delete after import" and then I click on import, I close the app, I open it back, then I see the setting has not been saved, I have to click the box again to delete the pictures after import

    Are you trying to save the pictures on your camera after importing to your PC, or totally remove from your camera?
    What camera are you using?

    @Berton
    The name is "import pictures" (auto play) in windows 10

    @Jacee
    I just remove the SD card from the camera (sony cybershot) like I always did with win7 and I insert it into the PC using a usb stick, the autoplay pop up, import pictures wizard, then I click on settings, then delete after import, but the preferences doesn't save

    Why no one cares about that no one is a mystery to me , no one address that to microsoft or something
    because this thing is not good, as it does not save your preference

    Here is a picture of it

    That 'program' or 'app' is called Photos and part of Win10, replacement for Windows Photo Viewer of previous versions of Windows. I don't yet use it as there's a lot of things to learn about how it works.

    @Berton
    Yes I know it's called Photos, I wasn't able to edit my post yesterday to correct that.

    This extremely basic app is not working right

    The preferences are not saving !

    Do you know am alternative?

    Or maybe a registry trick that I can do to basically just save my preference ...?

    Try Updating, Resetting, or Reinstalling the Photos App or use Windows Photo Viewer. https://www.maketecheasier.com/photo...ndows10-fixes/

    @spunk

    I just did it, I have reset the Photos, and I tried one time, changed the settings/preferences, using "delete after import"
    then I closed the app and opened it up and the setting was not saved
