Is there a way to tell by info on a recovery drive what PC it belongs?

    I hope you're not solely relying on a recovery drive to safeguard your system and your precious data.

    Please consider using disk imaging regularly and routinely e.g. Macrium Reflect (free).

    Disk image files can be mounted and explored, so if you have no other method, you could identify them.

    Of course, a wise person would arrange to save those files in a suitably named folder for example.. and there is typically an option to add notes provided by such programs.

    My thougts on the OP: He's earnestly looking for answers and is likely a mid-level Windows PC user. Therefore, we have yet to hear from him as to wheter or not he is referring to System Image Backups on these drives or whether he is referencing Recovery Partitions.

    You and I already know that sometimes these topics are left behind due to higher level rhetoric by those of us who are advance users of Windows operating systems. Anyway---we are doing out best!
