    Is This Something I Need To Worry About?


    Hello :)

    I went use Defraggler and an unfamiliar warning popped up. Does this mean that I'll never be able to defrag? I use Windows 10 Pro.

    As you have an SSD use Windows' optimise instead.

    SSD Windows' optimise will run the TRIM command which is the way to go.

    Defraggler (from Piriform) has not been updated since May, 2018. It's recognizing the device is an SSD, but still allowing you to defrag it if you want to. Very poor design. Stick with native Windows optimize (TRIM), it's designed not to make such mistakes.

    Except that it recognizes an SSD and suggests that you not defrag it.

    Defragmenting an SSD is worse than useless, because it doesn't help performance and it increases wear, but it's not exactly a disaster.

    So you all basically mean to just use the defrag utility that comes with Windows as opposed to defraggler and everything should be fine? As you all can probably tell by now, I'm no Bill Gates at the keyboard. lol

    You hit the nail on the head. Windows Optimize/Defrag is all you need. All. It figures out what needs what done to it. Defrags and HDD, and Optimizes (TRIMS) an SSD. Done!

    Yes, the terms changed with the newer technology of the SSD/Solid State Drive/Device. Seldom seen now is the IDE drive when it became a PATA/Parallel ATA drive after SSDs came out. Different technology different names/terms.

I just reinstalled windows 10 pro on my computer and noticed that under system information that it states "Installed memory (RAM) 16.0 GB (15.9) usable". Is this something to worry about, or how do I correct it?
SFC errors. Should I worry?

Hi I ran sfc scan now and there were problems it could not resolve. I looked at the CBS log but it made little sense to me. However, the PC seems to running perfectly fine so should I bother addressing the SFC problems?
Should these event entries worry me?

I am still seeing unexpected restarts, though not as many as prior to upgrading from 7 to 10. However the event logs around today's restart were are a bumper crop, of which some I have not seen before. I hope someone will look at what I post below...
