Windows Search Results keeps switching view

    Hi,

I really really hope someone can help me. My issue is that whenever I search for a file and it takes me to all my results, as soon as I double click a folder within the results it will take me to that particular folder and then after 1/2 second, it will automatically take me back to my search results. It's so annoying.

Even if I click on ‘downloads’ or ‘documents’ it still switches back to the search results window every time. I have to close the explorer window and start again.

    I am running Windows 10 version 1909.

    Many thanks

Thanks for your reply. It's been happening ever since I updated to version 1909. If I made a search, for example, 'phonics', it will show the results for this in a list. Then if I open up a folder within the search results list, it will open it up and then search again automatically within that folder for 'phonics' again. Then if I click on documents or downloads or music in the navigation pane, it will keep searching for the word 'phonics' within that folder.

Ok, search in 1909 is widely reported as problematic - tho' I've not yet seen that symptom.

My quick experience of it led me to revert to 1903, pending MS sorting it out- which they are supposed to be doing.

If you wish, you can do that by uninstalling the 1909 enablement package.
