Been plagued by specific wake lock up for about 2 years - how to fix?
Hi, so where do I start with this?
I've written on here before about this, and no one was really able to fix it, but they tried.
So I'll try to lay it out best I can:
Put simply every so often, on my Windows 10 system, (which, btw, has been hardware replaced 99% aside the PSU since this error started) will lock hard immediately on wake.
It's not every time, and the nature of the crash has changed slightly throughout history, but ultimately waking up from sleep has been a monumental problem for a long, long time.
It used to be a black screen and a cursor only (which did respond to the mouse), which forced me to restart.
Then it became a hard lock on the lock screen on wake, with the network logo with an x on it and nothing responding.
Then it more recently became a hard lock on black screen - no cursor no nothing - just dead. Restart.
Then the one which made me disable sleep for now entirely, was a return back to hard lock on wake screen.
I have, as far as I know, tried EVERYTHING. The whole system has been replaced component for component bar the PSU and it is STILL doing this.
I am well aware Windows historically is flaky as heck for waking up, and there's a lot of issues with it - if this is one, and I can't resolve it, then fine, ok. But if there's a chance I can fix this, I'd love that.
It's not the hardware, as I say, it's all been replaced since this annoyance began. Aside that PSU (Corsair 1000W).
I really need the sleep function, my work relies on it. And this is such an inconvenience.
Where do I start or am I snookered?
I'm 1903 but this has been going on since as long as I now remember.
Thanks.
