Cursor Issues, Windows 10 Pro

Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, Version 1903

Lately, with all windows 10 versions, even upon recovery/restore/reinstall, i have cursor issues, where the cursor will freeze and not move, even though i move my mouse. It happens at random intervals, and I'm worried that this may happen when I use a graphics tablet and mess up my drawing techniques. I've replaced the battery in my mouse, replaced the mouse, updated the drivers to the latest update, changed to a more suitable driver, etc. I've even contacted microsoft support a few times, but never been able to get them to resolve this, even through using remote desktop.

I don't know what to do at this point, can't really draw precisely if the cursor is doing this. It's also very annoying.

Okay, so we know that this is a wireless mouse. By any chance, when these freezes happen, is it only after the mouse has been allowed to sit idle for a period of time? Also, after you move the mouse, does it start to work again after a second or two?

If both of these are true, then it may simply be that the mouse is entering a low power sleep state after a period of activity from which it takes a second or two to wake.

I'm dealing with this same issue using a Microsoft wireless mouse and it's driving me nuts. I'm about to go back to a wired mouse for that reason.

It's not that, the freeze happens during playing games, typing stories, etc. It could be wherever, whenever. And also, it happens with a wired mouse.

I may also mention that the same freezes happen with all controllers I plug in. The computer lags in registering a button randomly, and sometimes, if the button is held down, continue to register the input until otherwise changed by input.

Driving me nuts, can't play games with a controller either. It seems to affect my graphics tablet as well.

First thing you may want to try is to see if the same problem exists in safe mode.

Second, the behavior of the mouse is linked very closely to the display driver. You may just want to be sure that your display driver is up to date.

Hey, I updated the display driver before, and again now. It's still acting up, and acts up in safe mode as well. I'm at a loss, but I found an interesting thing here today.

It doesn't act up in the affected programs running when recording the screen.

How weird?
