Try Alt-Tab and see if you can switch to another screen or bring your taskbar up, then exit out of the screen you're in.
Some other options:
CTRL+ALT+DEL
Win key + R
CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
Win key + D
What do you see on the screen? Blank? Picture? ...
I am glad you do not have the 32 gig version. But 64 is still cutting it close (in my opinion) if you do not watch what you save on the computer.
Windows feature updates can use up to about 20 gigs of space during upgrades on the avg computer from my experience. These upgrades happen 2 times a year.
Just a friendly warning from a computer repair professional. Just this week I sold a computer to a client who had the 32 gig version and got tired of the out of space messages and the inability to upgrade to the current version without assistance ($$). The user is not savy enough to do the workarounds on thier own.
It should be this one:
Porthos

Hear what you say and thanks, I am simply a 79 yr old home user, I use pc simple for emails, accounts, letters, storing pics etc.
I never use it for downloading games and I make full use of memory sticks as both a back up, and convenience. I have one for music, one for photos and not that I have ever needed to use it, a portable hard drive.
With this in mind, I hopefully will not have a problem with shortage of ram
Am now getting laptop to my liking and have started using Dropbox, maybe to transfer all from my Chromebook to my W10?

Yes, my fn is next to ctrl, and no, I dont have an F11 which I THINK is called a Toggle key, no Toggle keys.
Old man, the arrow covers the key unfortunately, AH !!!! apologise to everyone, JUST noticed, all the keys are marked as F1-F12, how stupid of me but in my defence, it's so small.
This is a good site, glad I found it so thanks to all
You're welcome. Cheers.
I just want to tell you i have an older HP DV6 Laptop, that i upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and it's been working great.
Don't know how you will like the Windows 10, but i feel you made a wise choice going with the HP Laptop.
