Android Phone to PC pictures are .thmbnails not pictures

    Windows 10 version 2004 OS Build 19041.1
To organize my Android phone photos there shown on my PC. They do not show as pictures but as thumbnails.
They are displayed as pictures on the Phone. My PC also displays pictures as pictures.
How when my phone is connected to the PC, can I view the images as pictures and not thumbnails.
I have tried to adjust the view which appears to be fine for photos on the PC, but not when displayed from my phone.
How can I change this to have pictures shown and not thumbnails?

Do you need to move the original photos to your PC? OR are you okay with using Google Photos?

Google Photos will backup all your photos for free on the web from your phone. Then you can access them via the web on the PC. When you need some of them, you download. It's good quality but maybe not original quality.

If you need to move the originals -- here's some advice

I us this in the following way: Connect Phone to PC, display photos, manage where they should be arranged' copy some to the PC. /example: needed to send a picture, so I wanted to copy the picture to the PC, but because they were icons, I could not find the picture I wanted since they were not visible. So I need to find specific items but I can not due to so many and they are icons and not pictures
