    Everything keeps changing size

    Windows 10 version 1903

Everything keeps changing size. It seems to be something I'm doing with my touch pad but I can't figure out. There doesn't seem to be a particular part of the screen I have to hit. One minute the icons will fill half the screen and then they are so tiny I can barely see them. It is doing it to everything, email, pix, etc. This just started this morning. It makes the laptop almost unusable.

I'm using a new HP laptop.

What do I need to do to stop this?

One thing that changes icon sizes and what's displayed in some windows is CTRL + scroll. If you had a stuck CTRL key ... but you'd notice that in other contexts of course.

Have you tried using a mouse for comparison?

History - Has the laptop updated before 'this morning?' (See your Update History including drivers at the bottom).

    Have you installed something else?

Does it happen in Safe Mode?

To get to your touchpad settings, one way is
Win key + S (or use the taskbar search field)
    type touchpad
    click Mouse Properties....
    (not Touchpad)

You can change settings, reduce sensitivity, choose which gestures are recognised and more.

@alb8ros, I'm not certain if this is what you are encountering, but I have an older HP laptop where things keep getting resized on me in the browser. I had to turn the pinch zoom feature off in my touchpad drivers. Apparently when I would scroll up or down the page using 2 fingers on the touchpad it would sometimes misread the placement of my fingers as an attempt to do a pinch-zoom gesture.

You might just want to go through all your touchpad settings to make sure it's all configured to your liking while you are in there.
