    By the way:
I've done a lot of customization to my Windows 10.
Where is the best place to share all of this?

    Martijn a.k.a. axe0 here.

I'm a student of programming applications. I mostly enjoy programming for the web, but I can program a little bit (real easy projects) with c# and also something like a safe. Since half June I finished my internship which means I'm at 50% of my study, 1,5 years to go starting next week (can't wait for it :))
Came in touch with the eightforums thanks to a bluescreen I had in the middle of my internship and started to learn debugging bluescreens since a month or 2.
Since a few days I activily joined the tenforums and unexpected became part of the BSOD team as a student ofcourse

    Hi, I am Cissy B

I retired in 2007 completely. First retired as a service technician for Sears, Roebuck CO. in 2001, 21 years there. Then retired from Post Office as a clerk in 2007. I love Geocaching (geocaching.com for information) and painting on canvas.

I've been with my guy for 24 years. We have a 3 year old miniature schnauzer dog named Wally. Yep, that was a tough pregnancy ;-) Currently as of 8/30/15, I still have Win 7----waiting for Win 10 to kick in.

As I started This thread I thought it may be appropriate that I actually said a little about who I am - A lot will know me from previous interaction on other Forums, but some may not :)

    Ok, so who is barman58?

Well I'm Nigel, a fifty-seven year old geek, from Newport in South Wales UK and I've been in the IT business for as long as I can remember.

My first foray into computers was during my schooling in the early seventies, I can remember annoying my math teacher when we were asked to calculate Pi to as many decimal places as possible, a quick trip to the computer lab produced a rather long number to one hundred decimal places, this was dutifully re-written by hand and presented to the Maths teacher who then had to spend quite a few hours manually calculating and checking the result. This calculation was actually performed on my first sight of a portable computer, I remember fondly six of us students moving the thing from one room to another!!.

I worked in industry for over twenty years responsible for running of internal ICT systems for a system control house but also spending much time specifying and integrating ICT systems with customer systems that controlled everything from sewage plants to full blown steel mills. I was responsible for network communication and the front end user interface design Networks were almost exclusively hard wired, but this could be anything from basic Ethernet to fibre-optics, to multi-core industrial Ethernet where the cables were encased in steel armour. Control systems utilised some early touch screens, using wire grids fitted to standard CRT monitors, and were graphical controls with integrated audio and video. This was all done using the likes of OS/2 Warp and eventually the NT series of operating systems, though I've experience with almost all Microsoft's OS's from early DOS to the current crop.

In the late nineties and into the Noughties, I found that the industry was losing a little bit of gloss for me and so decided on a complete change of direction - I became the Landlord of my local public house, for a few years and then ran bars and worked as a Duty hotel manager for one of the world’s most well-known hotel chains. This is the source of my User-name across most of the web in various fields.

Even during the time I was out of the industry directly I found I still received phone calls to help and support individuals and small business contacts, so decided to try my hand at earning a living as an independent ICT consultant, a position I still hold.

I first became involved with Designer Media Forums, in 2008, when I followed a link to the Vista Forums whilst researching an issue. I liked the look of the place, the vast knowledge around the members, but mostly the community spirit - that the owner, whom I have since got to know a little and call friend, had instilled.

Before long I was honoured to join the management team, and was involved in the growth of Windows 7 from pre-beta days to release and beyond. The same happened with Windows 8 and 8.1 will more than continue with Windows Ten and beyond.

Most of what I do on the forums is now behind the scenes but I will engage with users where I believe that I can add something to what is being said by those helping, or see a user issue that has gone un-answered for too long :)

Away from the Tech world my personal life is rather different - I am a passionate amateur naturalist, birder, and wildlife photographer, and spend many hours "off the grid" where mobile phone signals are poor or absent, but life’s batteries are re-charged.
