    Hi, VERY Overdue in posting my intro


    I have been a member for a very long time drawing on the value of reading the information/knowledge posted by the admins and members. My background includes an extensive history with mainframe computing where I supported everything that came my way in the Technical Support department. Initially, I was hired as network support which meant installing the required hardware and network software to communicate between data centers, branches, dialup etc.. This also required me to start supporting PCs, LANs, Macs, UNIX, LINUX, obscure hardware and its emulation.

    Now I just enjoy what I do at home with several computers running LINUX, Windows (my version is Windows 10 1903 OS Build 18362.356), Android, many emulators for OS and old games.

    I still prefer a good technical problem to solve over gaming but anything goes.

    My lack of posts will probably continue because I had a bad fall that has made it difficult to sit and type this extensively and I prefer to limit the amount of time doing so. My emails are mostly for reading tech newsletters and my forum visits are to see what is going on in tech.

    I apologise to the admin for taking so long to post but I do appreciate your tolerance.

    Welcome to the forums knacker, no need to apologise for a delay in posting here, it's purely optional.

    We have a few members here who have various issues with access so just use the resources in the way that helps you best.

    Of course the alternatives to sitting up typing are coming along and windows is capable of voice driven text entry Maybe over time this will allow you to interact more, but as said above use the forums as you need to
