Windows Error Code - cant delete the temp folder that was created

Hi, I'm trying to delete a folder manually that FreeFileSync created while I was doing a backup...was something like Recylce_bin.temp. I tried renaming it to just a letter and still wont delete... its a pretty deep path to an empty folder.

Does anyone know of any way I can delete this folder other than reformatting the entire external drive?

Thank you - got it to the target folder - but the command isn't working - still getting the cannot delete error.

PS> changed the folder name from I to s for sake of clarity

Thank you! The checkdisk command took the entire night to complete but once it was finished, i was able to delete the stubborn directory in my file explorer just by hitting Delete key.
