    Hi and welcome to W10F.
No it's not normaN or normaL Ditch that AV pronto, it's just trouble. Windows defender is fine AV now, you may want to try it for a while.

I heard about you from my friend, and he was so happy that he found this forum because people here helped him already few times with some stuff which he didn't have any idea how to deal with this.
I hope that it will be the same in my situation. :)

I came here to thank F14tomcat for their post on the may update win issue regarding app not opening from start, and their suggestion to access via the storage route. I did this and it worked so i would like to thank them. Saved me a lot of bother. Was registered here years ago, forgot the details so i opened new account. Glad to be back, shall not lose this account so easily. here is a copy/paste of the message i wanted to sent tomcat.
we both have toshiba R930's and i chose to self update via MS update tool as i was impatient for this one....our computers are usually fine for this but this time both exhibited the same app stop issue, your suggestion totally whacked it i registered here just to let you know, your post was helpful. I was registered with ten some years back but forgot the pass, this time i will keep it safe, best place to come when or if i get issues, i service quite a few systems here and there and usually get by with guess work etc. great stuff, sorry it was long-winded, just gratitude comes out of me that way, keyboard diarrhoea is what i get

Not me, my data is more valuable than OS or even computer. Also been in Skippy ring, there's to many chances of it getting lost. Further it is from windows, safer it is.
    Absolutely.
Anything important of mine sits on the nas these days with a desktop shotcut. Gigabit transfer speeds make access quick enough.

Hi, I have just come from Vista direct to Windows10 on my new DELL Laptop 15-5000 series AMD 5575 a bit of a learning curve to negotiate but that was expected, I was surprised that it came without a user manual so I assume it can be downloaded can anyone advise the best place to get it from, thanks.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your reply, I have just realised I should have gone to the DELL forum as it is the DELL manual that I want, please put it down to my advanced years but rest assured that I will continue with some basic questions, regards an embarrassed caprice.
