    Hi all.

    jmee2k18 here, aKa Jamie.

    From the Southwest England.

New to W10. I always said from day one of the release i would never use W10, and sticking to W8. Yet here i am, on my newish laptop, running W10. My gosh i wish i upgraded back then. With the help of a semi-decent laptop, W10 is fast. haha.

Any way, from a simple google search for a problem i've recently encountered, this was one of the first forums that appeared.

    So yea, here i am.

    Pleased to meet you all.

Hi and welcome to W10F. I found transition from W8/8.1 very easy, they are closer than W8 was to W7. W10 feels more like an update to W8.1.

That is very true. I think one of the reasons why i didn't like to upgrade was because of all the rumors and info about Microsoft with the whole spying, and only letting you upgrade when THEY wanted to. I may of got that wrong, or it was all bull crap (lol). BUT the main reason why, well two reasons was another OS to get to grips with, and the way they were nagging you into upgrading, with the pop up's, and pre-downloading the settings, while ignoring whether you wanted to upgrade or not.

BUT i am glad this new laptop came with W10 installed!
I am loving it so far.

    Thanks.
