Hello, MamaWolf. Welcome to the forums.

One can join at 13, so bring him on in. :)

There are special provisions for those under 13 here: General Forum Usage

That can be found in the FAQ tab/link on the top of any page.
Many Thanks for the welcome. I will send him the link.

8.1 on this desktop and 10 auto on laptop

I'm new to the forum and looking for HELP!!!!
I started in computers around 1965 and have managed to keep up but as old age catches up I am losing out!
I had some trouble getting use to 8.1 but now am OK with it but a couple months ago the automatically upgraded my Windows 7 on my laptop to 10 and I am LOST. Last night I decided to see if there had been any update to 10 as I had not noticed any changes.
I offered to do an update and now the computer can not find windows. It boots OK and the desktop seems to open but if I try to do something Windows related I can not find it. It would appear as though the windows program is GONE!
