    Hi all!

I'm James and I'm almost a month older than Windows itself (leave that up to you to figure out!)

I've been messing about with windows since 3.1 and have never looked back (maybe to XP from Vista...)

This is the second time I have typed this as my current BSOD issues are messing with my flow, guess i'll see some of you over in that forum shortly

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to Ten Forums, James!

There's nothing to figure out, it's common knowledge that Windows 1.0 was initially released on 20th of November, 1985. One month and one day to go to Windows' 34th birthday, you say you are "almost a month older", which most probably makes your birthday to be within next week. In advance, happy 34th birthday!

Welcome to TenForums, James. I started messing with DOS before Windows was born. I bought my first Windows computer sometime in 1990 or so; can't remember just when since it's been awhile. I've been using PCs since around 1985.

Hi I am Mike from the UK

I am a software developer now heading into retirement I have been waiting until the last moment to start using Windows 10 as I was completely happy with Windows 7 I also waited for as long as possibe so as to allow all the initial issues to be resolved after seeing the chaos some of my clients had when it was first released However as it seems feature updates can still be a problem I have invested in a copy of Macrium

I have a query regarding delaying feature updates so I will be posting there shortly

Hello Mike. Welcome to the Forums. Macrium is a wise investment, even the free version will do what most people need.

Hi Mike & welcome to Ten Forums. I was also a Win 7 holdout but got a new laptop with Win 10 two years ago. Win 10 is pretty stable except for early adopters of feature updates. Fortunately after the disaster of 1809 the current 1903 build now allows even home users to delay feature updates. You are wise to have image backups though. A lot of the members here use Macrium.

Welcome to TenForums, Mike. We already have a Mike who is also known as Mikey. Now what're we gonna do with you?

Oh, well, one can never have too many Mikes or Mikeys. Welcome again.

Macrium is good, and so is Windows 10.
