Rhstubby here: Amature at best with building and working on computers. I'm a retired Army Warrant Officer, retired industry test, engineer. So, my first computer experience was back in 1970 working on an 8K memory military computer. Wow, we've come a far piece since then.
Hi rhstubby and welcome to Ten Forums. Don't go back quite as far. The computer I first worked on in 1978 was an IBM 360-30 with 48k of memory (real ferrite rings) recently upgraded from 32k. Input was by punched cards and output was a line printer. We have come a long way but we still seem to get the same problems.

Good morning and welcome to TenForums, RHstubby. We have come a long way with technology in the years I've been building and repairing computers. Things change so fast I can hardly keep up!

Good Morning from Sunny Florida. I've been working with computers for almost 20 years but still feel like there are days where I don't know anything! We are a Dell/Windows shop and have about 150 computers ranging from 8 years old to new. My car also gets software updates (Tesla) so yes, I'm a nerd.

    Hello there

Registered with the forum today (only recently became aware of it) - after all this time !

Not particularly tech savvy but I've used XP and W7 before, then upgraded to W10 (Home, 64-bit) just over three years ago.

I must say I find W10 baffling still, as well as infuriating at times, but I'm learning.........

I'm in the right place anyway I hope.

Hi, MJBJ and welcome to TenForums. Yes, you're in the right place ... you just need to start asking questions. There are plenty of folks, both Gurus and Pro Users who can help with almost anything you can throw at them.

Same here, and '95 before that. I avoided W8 like the plague, upgrading from W7 to W10 in August 2015.

Took a couple of weeks for the 'culture shock' to wear off, after which I felt as much at home in W10 as I had been in W7.

If the tutorials don't 'unbaffle' you, then feel free to ask anything. It's not for nothing that Brink says in his signature "There are no dumb questions, just the people who do not ask them."
