Hello Folks!
Joined the forums so that I could help my neighbor with Windows 10 problems on his laptop. I have not used Windows 10 at the time of this writing but have a number of confuser's including the box listed under my spec's which I built myself about 4 years ago. Some of you may have helped me in the past or I may have helped you in the many other forums that I belong to. Glad to be here:)

This is my first post. I have been using computers since the 1980's. Yep I am a junior senior. I have used just about everything from day one of the personal computer. I used a dumb terminal at work for email with a custom made program called Dax Mail. Turned on the green monochrome screen and did everything with the keyboard. Primitive but it was better than writing or typing out an interoffice memo.
I have used an IBM Personal Computer, Commodore computers including the Amiga. My first computer of my own was an Atari 600XL. I remember using a friends Atari 400 with the membrane keyboard. From that point I owned various desktop computers, that I built and upgraded myself or with the help of friends. Currently I am using an Asus Laptop.
My first version of windows was 3.0 and have used or attempted to use every version since then. Windows 95 was a vast improvement.
Today's adventure of course is Windows 10. Still not sure if I like it or hate it. At times it drives me nuts. Then again I am use to decades of buggy operating systems. I don't think there is any other kind.
I have found some helpful tips and this site has also helped me with some problems. Thanks to everyone.
Welcome aboard rickhd! I think you'll find many here of our generation. I started with a Sinclair ZX81 back in 1981-2 using cassette tapes for data storage. We've got the fresh bloods here too - so expect a diverse and therefore strong crowd to be among!
